TOUGH MUDDER EXPOSED – A Magazine Trailer

Inspired by a teaser that Esquire made to promote Chris Jones’ riveting feature about the Zanesville zoo massacre, I created one for my upcoming cover story about Tough Mudder. And here’s a sneak preview on the magazine’s website.

I hope you dig. And share. #MUDRUNWARS

Big love to my producer, Emmanuel Mota, for burning the midnight oil with me. And to my friends at Up Down Up for the score and sound design.

Wow, Scott, i’m RUNNING to the newsstand to pick up this issue of Outside magazine. I worked in a senior position at Tough Mudder, reporting to Will Dean, during their infancy phase. The longest 6 months of my life. I’m curious to see how much of the surface you scratched off!

Hey Scott!

Truly awesome article. My DH and I run an events company and just had our entire event stolen in a similar fashion. I just made an obstacle race prediction in the blog. I’m definitely a new fan of your writing. Bravo and excellent work! http://4amblogger.com/2012/10/24/flattery-or-theft/

Heather! Thanks so much for reaching out. And the kind words. And WOW, after reading your blog post, I’m sure my story hit pretty close to home. (Unfortunately for you.) It never ceases to amaze me, the lines some people will cross for a quick buck. Either way, your event sounds fun and I wish you all the luck in the world. SK
